Shivam Puri has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cipla’s One India Business, effective July 1, 2026. This marks a significant leadership transition for one of India’s leading pharmaceutical organizations as it continues to strengthen its presence across healthcare and consumer wellness segments.
Puri brings more than 23 years of cross-industry experience spanning healthcare and fast-moving consumer goods, with deep expertise in commercial leadership, consumer marketing, and business strategy. His career reflects a consistent focus on building scalable, consumer-centric businesses and driving sustained organizational growth.
Prior to this elevation, he served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Cipla Health, where he played a central role in shaping and expanding the company’s consumer healthcare portfolio. Under his leadership, Cipla Health strengthened its presence across multiple wellness categories and evolved into a more diversified and growth-focused business within the broader Cipla ecosystem.
During his tenure at Cipla Health, the organization expanded its footprint across key consumer health segments including smoking cessation, pain care, cough and cold, dermatology, hair care, and nutrition. This phase of growth contributed significantly to positioning the business more firmly within India’s fast-evolving consumer wellness landscape.
Before joining Cipla in 2019, Puri held senior leadership roles across prominent organizations such as Hindustan Unilever, Jubilant FoodWorks, and ITC. These roles provided him with extensive experience across consumer brands, business transformation, and large-scale commercial operations, shaping a leadership style grounded in both strategic thinking and execution excellence.
His appointment as CEO of the One India Business reflects Cipla’s continued focus on strengthening its domestic operations and accelerating growth across healthcare and consumer wellness markets. It also underscores the organization’s emphasis on leadership that can operate at the intersection of healthcare delivery, evolving consumer behaviour, and brand-led market expansion.
With India remaining one of the most dynamic healthcare and consumer markets globally, his leadership is expected to play a key role in guiding the business through its next phase of growth and transformation.
