Going Digital – What Indian Pharma C-Suite has to Say

Any transformational initiative must be driven by the CEO and the leadership team.

The current efforts by Indian Pharma companies to adopt digital, leaves much to be desired. They are tactical in nature, a knee jerk response to address the challenges brought in Covid19 that made large field force to sit at home – something they have never done before.

So, the digital initiatives lacked strategic intent ans were at tactical at best as effort to enable the field force people to connect with doctors and invite them to a myriad of webinars via WhatsApp and emails.

The continuing uncertainty of Covid19 has made it clear that adopting digital is no longer a piecemeal campaign but a transformational exercise that needs to put the doctors and all other stakeholders at the centre.

Indian Pharma needs a robust Marketing Strategy that takes to account the changes in customer behavior, before going in for digital transformation.

As part o the 10th Anniversary Celebrations, MedicinMan brought together Pharma CEOs and senior industry leaders via four CEO Roundtable discussions for the benefit of Indian Pharma people.

The 1st CEO Roundtable was held in February 2021 with P V Sankar Dass, CEO of Curatio Healthcare, Tony Parmar, MD of Albert David, Peter Velev, CEO of Ecopharm, Bulgaria, Silviya Aleksandrova, COO of #CredoWeb and Deep Bhandari, Editorial Board Member, MedicinMan.

Panel Members: Prakash Maheshwari, Vice President, Strategic Leadership at Glenmark. Sourabh Agrawal, Vice President – Sales & Marketing at Lupin Global. Salil Kallianpur, Executive Editor of MedicinMan and former Executive VP – Emerging Markets at GSK. Praful Akali, MD at Medulla Communications.

We trust that the experience and insights of these pharma leaders will enable Indian Pharma people to undertake the Digital Transformation journey in their companies.

MedicinMan will be following up the CEO Roundtable series with Pharma L&D Leadership Series discussions as they will be playing a crucial role in up-skilling pharma people with the right mindset and digital tools.
