Human Library – Reading People Through Their Life’s Experiences

Human beings have the innate desire to create and share their life’s experiences with others. But all too often, we are preoccupied with our day-to-day life to put these experiences to good use. In fact, most people don’t realize that the experiences they have had in their lifetime have not been put to good use even when they are on their deathbed.

Generally, our life consists of cause and effect. Life consists of desires. We are always in search of and in want of something. Once we achieve that, we want something else. These desires influence our persona and our world. And the world influences our desires and who we are. Sometimes we shape our identity on what we desire instead of on who we are.

Life consists of certainty and uncertainty. Certainty is what allows us to make decisions and uncertainty is what makes things more open-ended to allow for more options. Certainty is what makes people confident to take decisive actions and uncertainty makes people think, and challenges them to search for a better solution.

How we utilize our experiences, gives meaning to our life. It also enhances our worth and helps in personal growth and transformation. Many of these experiences which may not have a big impact on our life are usually forgotten, evaporating from our memory as soon as they are lived.

The Human Experience Quotient Clinic (HEQC) is a concept that assembles the human experience in a holistic manner. These experiences are used to educate and encourage the younger generation to make informed decisions and avoid the common pitfalls in life, business, and relationships by adopting a conscious and mindful approach to life.

A beautiful experiment is being carried out in Denmark, ‘The Human Library’. Can we initiate India’s first ‘Human Library’, a concept similar to The Human Experience Quotient Clinic?
